Last month I moved on to a '98 Moto Guzzi which I am enjoying to the max. I have placed my black '99 Savage with a consignment dealer, but I have no "noncompete" clause. This is a great way to avoid all the problems with joyrider hassles. We agree on a fair price for me ($3,000)and the dealer takes a commission above that. He keeps in on his showroom floor, advertizes. etc. First 30 days is free, then he charges $20.00/month. Any serious Savage Forumers interested can deal straight with me and save his commission. I also have an inexpensive set of saddle bags I'll throw in gratis as well.
The bike has a factory windshield, a stock and a modified muffler, 4,000 easy miles - exhaust is still bronze at the head end & it has never been dropped. Anyone interested can see the bike at Reeves Cycles 614 Hendersonville Road Asheville, NC 28803 (828) 274 3158.
I wish I could keep it, but there is only room for one bike in our garage.
